Linking Motor Control with Other Important Skills

Recent research shows how poor motor control is linked to challenges with many other skills. This study makes the point that the evaluation of retained primitive reflexes may be an important indicator of atypical development such as that seen in autism.
". . .findings suggest that the persistence of primitive reflexes might alter the developmental trajectory of future motor ability and therefore their evaluation might be an early indicator of atypical development."
