and had subsequent brain surgery to remove a large mass in the left hemisphere.
"Sonia is an outstanding instructor! Her courses offer techniques to improve sensory processing, self regulation, & motor skills. These techniques do not require special equipment to implement. The course manuals include clear pictures of the techniques and are mailed to you, so NO need to print hundreds of pages. The Brain and Sensory Foundations courses have taught me ways to help the children I work with in occupational therapy make progress faster." ~Lynda Steed, OTR/L, Recovery Zone Pediatric Therapy, Russellville, Arkansas
"I work with clients who are in pain or who have limited mobility. The results I see using the rhythmic movement and reflex integration tools from the Brain and Sensory Foundations courses have been beyond amazing."
~Sue Kruszewski, Therapeutic Yoga, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
"The tools I learned in this course were easy to incorporate into practice and I could start seeing results after just a few weeks!" ~Holly, OTR/L

In this 8-session course, we focus on integrating reflexes with tools from a wide variety of neurodevelopmental movement methods. We learn simple movements that give children the foundation for learning, emotional maturity, speech, language, social skills, physical strength and upright posture. The movements are ideal for teens and adults as well.
This training course is excellent for OTs, OTAs, PTs, PTAs, SLPs, vision therapists, educators, parents, health care providers, social workers, mental health, addiction and family counselors, yoga therapists, caregivers and anyone interested in neurodevelopmental movements for optional functioning. This course is the sequel to the prerequisite, Brain and Sensory Foundations course.
Questions about the course can be asked during live sessions or emailed to Sonia Story, throughout the length of the course.

From our Students:
"The Brain and Sensory Foundations, Second Level course took my skills of working with reflexes to a whole new level - especially for the treatment of Torticollis. Sonia does a masterful job of taking her wealth of information and distilling it down to the best of the best and then presenting it in a very practical way that can be immediately used in a treatment session. I am so thankful that I took Brain and Sensory Foundations, Second Level. I highly recommend this course to fellow therapists, parents, counselors, teachers, and anyone else working with children." Melody Edwards, PT
"The rhythmical movements and reflex integration from the Brain and Sensory Foundations, First and Second Level courses, took my treatment "bag of tricks"to a new level. I implement these tools in each treatment session with results for each student I see! The students are carrying over skills at a faster pace than without these vital movements and integrations! I'm so glad I took these courses!" Amanda Egelseer, OTR
"I am a developmental and autism specialist and work with children with very challenging behaviors. I am forever grateful for Brain and Sensory Foundations courses. The results are amazing both short term as well as over time. Every time I engage with a child I use something I've learned from these courses! " Sharon P
"In the past, I have struggled with helping my patients improve sleeping patterns but once I learned the Abdominal rocking rhythmic movement in the Brain and Sensory Foundations, Second Level course, I began making great strides with my patients immediately. I had learned how to integrate Abdominal reflex in another course but had difficulty with parent training and carry over due to the many steps required for parents to remember. Using Sonia's technique for Abdominal Rhythmic Movement, the parents were able to easily implement this and reported immediate positive results.
So many parents have come to me the next session raving about how quickly their child fell asleep and how rested he seemed the next morning. They felt it was much easier to implement than other exercises and were very satisfied with the results! I am so excited about all of the new information provided in this Brain and Sensory Foundations, Second Level course. I highly recommend all of Sonia Story's courses as they have greatly improved the way that I approach therapy with my patients. She has helped me become a better therapist!" Amber Humphrey, OTR, MOTCo-owner, Open Door Pediatric Therapy Lead Occupational Therapist
